Free radicals are formed in themetabolic processes
in the body and immune activity ofwhite blood
cells. These free radicals are released in the body and
may destroy body cells. So-called oxidative stress
ariseswhen excess free radicals are presentwhich

seleniumfor cattle. Grape PP contains a high
amount of favonoids (Figure 1). These favonoids
aremuch stronger antioxidants than vitaminE or
vitaminC.
GrapePP research
Extensive researchhas shown that Grape PP
improves the antioxidant status of the animal.
It stabilises the vitaminE (Figure 2) andby doing so
it enhances the immune status of the animal. Up to
50%of vitaminEmay be replacedbyGrape PP in the
dietwhichwill reduce feed costs.
